Chris Hamel was the very able Race Officer for the day; and we started with a reasonably long course with two laps to settle everyone into the changeable offshore wind caused by the various buildings. Hillhead took the singles and Hamble the doubles a pattern to be repeated in all three races, there was a wide margin between the more able

  • Baby Bob's

Saturday morning started with a blistering 3 knots of wind, so we had to postpone for a bit, but then rumours came of more wind round the corner so we went for a mass tow round to Cat Head, where sure enough there was (just) enough breeze to run some racing! We had 7 enthusiastic Oppie sailors, a couple of whom had never raced before, sailing a triangular course. We completed 3 races, with all the children

  • Cousin and Uncle Bob's

The top three racers from each heat qualified for the Uncle Bobs final whilst the rest of the field contested Cousin Bobs. In the first
