- Requirements: Sailing skills to the standard of the Stage 4 course
Course content:
- How to handle a boat in all circumstances and solve problems afloat
- Launching and recovering the boat in different circumstances
- Sailing without a rudder
- Sailing without a dagger/centre board
- Sailing backwards
- Recovering a man overboard
- Anchoring
Ability after course: Able to handle a wide range of situations afloat
