Covid 19 Statement

Hamble River Sailing Club will always follow Government advice. The Covid-19 preventative measures are vital to protecting health and wellbeing and to minimise pressure on frontline services. We all have a role to play by following the Government guidelines. We also recognise that outdoor activity is important to mental wellbeing of our members

Government advise is;-

Keep your distance (stay 2 meters apart where possible) Wash your hands thoroughly – hand sanitising gel is available at the entrance to the club and the boat shed door.

Unfortunately our changing rooms are closed, so please arrive ready dressed for your activity (Sailing/SUP/Powerboating etc)

If you should need to enter the club (to use the toilet) please use the hand sanitiser gel at the entrance before entering.

If toilet facilities are required, then the disabled toilet is accessible. This must be cleaned well after use. Alcoholic wipes are available for this purpose (please ensure you wipe all surfaces which have been touched). Please use the ‘Vacant / Occupied’ signs so others can see if the toilet is in use (or not) before entering the building. Please wash your hands thoroughly.

All briefings will take place outside on the lawn or on the balcony at the front of the club. 2 metre distancing must be maintained, particularly when walking down the side of the Club. Please wait at the entrance end of the walk way to allow people to pass

All Club equipment used during each session will be sprayed down after use or stored for 72 hours

Sessions may be cancelled at the last minute, depending on weather conditions, as the safety of our support drivers and instructors is paramount and we will not put them at any unnecessary risk.

Please bear with us while we all get used to these new conditions which are there to keep us all safe
