RYA Dinghy Instructors Course
Dinghy Instructors Course
Due to current Government social distancing requirements, the usual 5-day RYA Dinghy Instructor course is being temporarily adjusted. This temporary adjustment is in the form of a two-part instructor course.
Part 1: A three-day Dinghy Instructor Course using single-handers only.
Part 2: A two-day, 'top up' instructor course in double-handers, We will run this course once restrictions are eased and guidance allows candidates to sail together in crewed dinghies.
The adjusted 3-day RYA Dinghy Instructor course is ideal for those who wish to use their sailing skills to teach and enthuse others in the sport by becoming an RYA Dinghy Instructor. This 3 day course will qualify you to teach in single-handed dinghies.
The course is run by an RYA Coach Assessor and is moderated on the final day by a second RYA Coach Assessor.
You must have passed the RYA Pre Entry Assessment and hold the RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate and a valid first aid certificate prior to taking the RYA Dinghy Instructor course
A pre-assessment day will be held on Sunday 25th October in Laser dinghies
