RYA LEVEL 1

This is an introductory course for adults to learn to sail. This course will cover sailing in different types of boats and the nessesary theory to back up the water-based learning.

Course Pricing:

• Course Price £210 (Non-Member) £180 (Member)
• Course duration: 2 days over one weekend

Course content:

1. The basic theory behind sailing
2. Dinghy rigging, launching and recovering
3. Sailing on a triangular course, going about and gybing
4. Nessesary background theory (ropework, Meteorology, sail aerodynamics)

Ability after course:

1. Able to sail on a triangular course and on all point of sail, under supervision from a safety boat.
2. Able to rig, launch and recover a dinghy
3. Able to obtain and understand a wether forcast before sailing.
