The 54th Annual Warming Pan 2016 Sponsored By McCarthy & Stone


This years Warming Pan will be held on the weekend of the 12th & 13th March.

Classes will include: Merlin Rocket, Firefly, Feva, Solo & Foxer. Over 50 Dinghies are expected to be racing on the River Hamble at the 54th Annual Warming Pan hosted by Hamble River Sailing Club.

Racing will start and finish on the Hamble River Sailing Club line and is expected to attract the top sailors in each of the Merlin Rocket, Firefly, Solo as well as club sailors in the Feva and Foxer classes. Visitors to the village will be able to watch the competing dinghies from many vantage points along the river banks.

On Saturday afternoon at 1600 after the days sailing, the 6 Nations Rugby, England v Wales will be shown in the Clubhouse. There will be food available and the bar will be open.

HRSC has a highly experienced race management team looking after the event.

Competitor details

There will be two races each day for the Firefly, Merlin Rockets & Solo's with a break for lunch. The Foxers will be competing 4 back to back races. Local Hamble youngsters from HRSC, WSC and the Southern are also expected to sail in their own Feva Fleet.

Entry Fees for the 2 day event are as follows:

Merlin Rockets & Firefly's:

  • 2 day entry £30
  • 1 day entry £20

Solo's & Feva's:

    • 2 day entry £20
    • 1 day entry £12

Foxer:

    • 2 day entry £12
    • 1 day entry £7
