The 52nd Annual Warming Pan 2014

Published 14:19 on 28 Feb 2014

Hamble Warming Pan – this weekend – arrival notes

We’re looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend in Hamble. The weather forecast looks fantastic!

The sailing instructions are now published and downloadable from this page.

Briefing for Saturday’s racing is at 1015 (first race scheduled for 1100) and you will be able to enter the event in the clubhouse from 0900. Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be available.

We’ve been asked by Hamble Parish Council (who own the dinghy park and waterfront area) to pass on a few polite requests on what to do when you arrive.

If you are towing a boat please proceed down Hamble High street (the cobbles) and you will then arrive on the waterfront road. Please do NOT drive into the carpark with your boat. Instead proceed down the road to the entrance to the dinghy park and park on the road. Unhitch your trailer and wheel the boat and trailer through the dinghy park barrier and across the dinghy park to the waterfront grass area. There’s plenty of room on the grass for up to 70 boats.

Visiting boats must NOT be parked in the dinghy park area. They can only be left on the grass area.

HRSC volunteer marshals will be around to help and advise. Please obey their instructions and leave your boat in the right place i.e. on the grass.

Free parking will be available all weekend in the Donkey Derby Field. Once you’ve dropped the boat jump back in your car and drive 100m up the hill to the Field which is on the left.

See you all at the weekend!

Entry Fee is £25.00 for doublehanders or £15.00 per day. Entry Fee for singlehanders is £12.00 or £7.00 per day.
