Have you been watching people out on the Hamble River on their SUPs/Paddleboards and been thinking "now that looks like fun"? Have you just got your own Paddleboard or have had one for a while and would like to learn more so you get more confident? Then take a look at HRSC's SUP Beginner Sessions. These are available for just £40 (£30 for Club Members) which provides two hours of land and water-based instruction (paddleboard & buoyancy aid included). These sessions are perfect if you have never paddleboarded before or if you have had a go but want to learn more. They are designed to give you the information you need to get out on the water safely, have fun and learn the basic techniques of paddle boarding.
During your session you will be taught how to carry your board and paddle, paddling technique, different types of turns, self-rescue, how to fall safely, how weather and environment affects you as well as how to plan expeditions safely.
Courses run on various evenings from 6.00pm till 8.00pm (tide-dependent). Please go to https://www.hrsc.org.uk/events for dates.
Under 18's will need to be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Under 12's will need parent or legal guardian to also take part in the session
