Risk Statement
I am aware that sailing is an unpredictable sport and inherently involves an element of risk. By allowing my child to take part, I accept responsibility for exposing them to such risks.
I am responsible for the safety and conduct of my child, their boat, and their property whether afloat or ashore.
I accept responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss to the extent caused by my own actions or omissions or those of my child.
I understand that the provision of safety boats and volunteers by the Club does not relieve me or my child of our responsibilities.
The provision of safety boat cover is limited to such assistance as can be practically provided in the circumstances.

Parental Responsibilities
I confirm that my child can swim at least 25 metres with a buoyancy aid, is confident in the water, and can submerge their whole body underwater for at least 5 seconds.
I will ensure my child attends Club youth sailing activities suitably clothed.
I accept responsibility for my child’s conduct during all Club activities.

Medical Information
I have completed the medical declaration and consider my child fit to participate. I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions or allergies.
I consent to emergency medical treatment for my child if necessary during Club activities.
Medical information will be processed solely for safeguarding my child’s health and will be accessible only to authorised personnel.

Data Protection
The information provided will be used by the Club or designated committee members solely for communication and administrative purposes related to Club activities, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Further details may be found in the Club’s Data Protection Policy available on the club website (https://www.hrsc.org.uk/policy-documents/policies).
Your data will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law. Data will be retained only as long as necessary for these purposes and will be securely stored.
You have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your data at any time, and to withdraw consent for its use by contacting the Club Secretary.

Photography & Video Consent
I understand that my child may be photographed or videoed by the Club or its agents for the purpose of promoting Club activities (e.g., on the Club website, newsletters, or social media). You may withdraw consent for image use at any time.

Insurance
If using Club equipment/boats, I agree to pay any insurance excess (currently £250) should the Club need to make a claim for damage. If bringing my own boat, I confirm it is adequately insured with at least £3 million third-party cover.
