WoW/MoB Race to the Restaurant report

The MOBS and WOWs went racing for the first time, destination the Waters Edge at Mercury. We split into two groups WOW’s and MOB’s. After an exciting start just off the hard Suzy Hamel in her Foxer sprinted away, however she was overtaken by Sarah Hughes in her Laser just as they entered the Creek.

The MOB started second Richard (a new member) in the club laser got off to a flying start and held the lead to the finish. However there could be a protest as Martin in the IBM boat hoisted a spinnaker, yes a spinnaker to finish second in front of Paul Veal.

14 MOB’s and WOW’s sat down to a lovely meal at Waters Edge and then sailed home. Unfortunately the wind dropped and most had a tow.

What an enjoyable evening, we will do it again soon!
