Big Wednesday 2017

On Wednesday the 14th of June the Hamble River Sailing Club will be running the famous BIG Wednesday with the aim of getting as many boats out as possible for some fun midweek racing, open to non-members, any non-members taking part should email: admin@hrsc.org.uk

Keelboats will be split into three handicap fleets and one XOD fleet. Handicap fleet boats range in size from 40+ feet down to 20 foot Day Boats

Our Wednesday evening races provide a fantastic opportunity to escape from work and get out on the water, recharging skippers and crew for the rest of the week.

First start is at 18:30 just off the mouth of the river and all competitors will be encouraged to come back to the clubhouse afterwards for good food!

For those with a boat in the river, a taxi service will run to take skippers to and from their boats.

HRSC A2 Race Report "Wet wet wet " was the only way to describe Wednesday, the second day of the A Series at Hamble River SC. With low water at 5pm there were very few marks available to use and the wind was forecast to back from south east to east at

HRSC the Bottle Pursuit 3 May 2017 With the Early Bird Series finished and the A Series not planned for another week, the Bottle Pursuit gives some relief from the cut and thrust of fleet racing when everyone starts together. In theory, in a pursuit everyone starts at a different time and they all appear on the finish line together. When the fleet comprises of a Sigma 38 at one end

2 May 2017

HRSC Early Bird 5, 26 April 2017 The current "interesting" political scene has coincided with a number of the current Early Bird Wednesdays this year. Following a very frosty last Prime Ministers Questions that afternoon, the crew of the Committee Boat Obsession, could be forgiven for believing there was a direct link as they were met with a short sharp snow shower as they ventured down river at 5.15 pm, the
