  • MOB and WOW Training dates released

    We have secured 6 RYA training evenings sponsored by the RYA for MOB and WOW, it is with Kristy Powell who came last year. This is an ideal opportunity for those who have sailed very little or are a bit reluctant to take to the water after not sailing for a number of years. Come along and brush up your skills.     Escapee Foxer!

    Ever wondered what your foxer gets up to in the dark of night? GFG was thwarted in a Friday night escape bid by Netley sea Scout master Kevin Earl when he apprehended her on Netley shore. GFG has now been safely returned unharmed to her spot in the dinghy park. The authorities are currently looking for some late night Hamble/Warsash commuters who are believed to have helped in the escape bid.

    Hamble Scoops the Prizes!

    A large number of boats set to the water on a glorious Saturday morning to compete in this years Harbour Masters Persuit race, the chosen charity this year was ‘’Toe in the Water’’ who provide competitive sailing for injured servicemen. It was well worth it as Hamble River Sailing Club managed to scoop eight out of the ten prizes, including the coveted club trophy which has not been won by HRSC for 5 years! Well done everyone

  • MOB take to the water

    The first Men on Boats session took place this evening, unfortunately the weather put off the sailors, although two still made it out! Mark unexpectedly practised his capsize drill, and back at the club afterwards Paul, the social secretary, began planning trips to the Jolly Sailor for later in the year. Hope some more can make it out for the next session in two weeks!

    *50th Anniversary Hamble Warming Pan at Hamble River Sailing Club* 10 - 11 March 2012 By Barney Smith Over the weekend of 10-11 March Hamble River Sailing Club hosted the 50th Anniversary Hamble Warming Pan regatta. This year’s invited classes were the Firefly and National 12 fleets, the local Foxer dinghy fleet, the Merlin fleet who’ve attended the event since it started in 1962, together with a new addition for 2012, the Enterprise class.
