RYA Adult Level 2 dinghy sailing course
The RYA Level two course is the next step on your sailing journey after you have completed your level 1 course. It is the second part of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training scheme and its aim is to provide the progression from basic boat handling techniques and essential background knowledge is having completed a level 1 course. During the course, you will learn all the key skills required to get afloat without supervision in a singlehanded dinghy.
Your instructor will take you through how to sail in all directions, teach you how to launch and recover your boat and explain how to recover from capsizing. Short theory sessions on the land will teach you about the basic equipment needed, tides and weather.
By the end of the course, you will be able to sail safely without supervision and sail in all directions.This course consolidates your learning from your Level 1 course and teaches you to sail unsupervised and safely.
